Math

Insert symbols into your text, or compose an equation below.

Number flags · okoloto

Roots use the approved Ńdẹ́bẹ́ layout. Other structures use your browser’s math layout; exported roots may also be laid out differently by the receiving app. Small forms and structured equations need a compatible receiving app; plain text retains characters only.

Teaching

Choose components or dotted placeholders. These teaching sequences leave ordinary typing unchanged.

Period, touch keys and older text

Backtick: elision · Apostrophe: single quotes · Shift+apostrophe: double quotes · Shift+Space: word separator. Alt/Option+0–9: digits 10–19. Shift+number keeps symbols.

Period after a numeral inserts the vigesimal marker; elsewhere it inserts the full stop. Alt/Option+Period inserts the decimal marker; add Shift for a full stop. Hold an onscreen digit for 10–19; hold Period for alternatives. You can also use the labelled buttons below.

Paste or open older text to migrate elision automatically. All character changes can be undone with Ctrl/Command+Z. Caps Lock is unassigned. On hardware, Shift+Period still produces >.
